Funeral services for Russell Richard Williams, 57, were held Dec. 15 at Mechanicsville with the Rev. George Gallaher in charge. Burial was in Rosehill cemetery.

Mr. Williams was born June 7, 1902 at Brooklyn, the son of Fred and Della Hiner Williams. He died Dec. 12 at Cedar Rapids following a lingering illness.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Leland, Mechanicsville; a daughter, Mrs. William Johnson, Cedar Rapids; 3 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Della Tuttle, Grinnell; a sister, Mrs. A. H. Paul, Council Bluff and 2 half sisters, Mrs. Ellen Greenwell, Brooklyn and Mrs. Wallace Boher, Victor.
