Funeral services for Mrs. Eugene Rhoads were held Nov. 18 at Mechanicsville with the Rev. George Gallaher officiating. Mrs. Rhoads died Nov. 15 at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids.

She was born Amanda Spencer, Oct. 31, 1884 at Rochester, the daughter of Henry and Margaret Ann Wymer Spencer. She was married to Eugene Rhoads March 11, 1904. They spent their entire married life in the Mechanicsville community.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Purl Pearson, Mechanicsville; a grandson, Donald Pearson, Morley and 3 great-grandchildren and 3 brothers.
