Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Blayney, 71, of Tipton were held Sunday at Anamosa, her former home. The Rev. J. Ellis Webb officiated and burial was in Green Center cemetery near Morley. Mrs. Blayney died Nov. 26 at the home of her son, Darrell, in Tipton where she had made her home for 4 years.

She was born Jan. 5, 1888, the daughter of Jack and Catherine Leefers Longerbeam, near Mechanicsville. She was married to David Price Blayney Dec. 24, 1903. They lived in or near Anamosa all their married life.

She is survived by a son, Darrell, Tipton, and 3 grandchildren, Keith, Karen and Kathy. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1956, one daughter, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
