Mrs. Mary A. Kessler, 87, died at her home in Cedar Bluff Friday night, July 17, after a long illness.

She was born in Ireland Nov. 12, 1871, and came to the Nolan Settlement at the age of 11. She was a life-long resident of the area.

Mrs. Kessler was married to Frank W. Kessler, who died in 1947. She was a member of St. Bridget's Catholic church and the Altar and Rosary society.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. Pat Donohue and Mrs. Everett Irving, both of Solon, and Mrs. Harry Dodds Jr., of Tipton; 6 sons, Alois, John, Francis, Mike, James, and Joseph, all of West Branch; 25 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday in Solon and at St. Bridget's church with the Rev. P. J. Laffey officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
