Funeral services for Samuel Hubert Thurston, 59, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Sheets & Dahn funeral home. Burial will be in the Masonic cemetery.
Thurston died Saturday evening in University hospital at Iowa City following a long illness.
He was born in Benton county, Missouri, Aug. 19, 1898, and spent most of his life in the Tipton area.
He is survived by his wife, six daughters, Mrs. Glenn Aegerter, Golden, Colo.; Mrs. Jack Robinson, Stanwood; Mrs. Andrew Wiskus, Mrs. Alva Gorman, Mrs. Lawrence Daufeldt, and Mrs. Don Simmons, all of Tipton; two sons, Daniel and Rudy, both of Tipton; a twin brother, James, also of Tipton, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Jones, Woodward, Okla.
