Funeral services for Harold Gibeaut, 57, were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church in Mechanicsville with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Born July 18, 1900, in Mechanicsville the son of Harry E. and Blanche Lee Gibeaut, he died suddenly Thursday evening, May 29 at his home in Mechanicsville.

He attended the University of Iowa for two years and was graduated from the University of California. He was employed in a bank in California for two years before returning to Mechanicsville where he was engaged in banking, real estate and insurance business with his father, Harry Gibeaut, who died in 1955.

Mr. Gibeaut was a member of the Methodist church, American Legion, Masonic Lodge and Lions club at Mechanicsville.

Surviving are his mother, his wife, the former Rosemari Craven of Tipton and a daughter, Nancy.
