Funeral services were held Monday at Durant for Lloyd Clifford Luethye, 49, who died Friday afternoon at Mercy hospital, Davenport, after an extended illness. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Mr. Luethye was born May 12, 1909, at Wilton Junction and had been a resident of Durant for the past 28 years. His parents were John and Adna Luethye.

He was married to Lulu Kroening Feb. 18, 1926, at Muscatine. He was a member of the Presbyterian church at Wilton Junction and was an honorary member of the Durant fire department.

Mr. and Mrs. Luethye operated the L. C. Luethye Plumbing, Heating and Electric Co. at Durant the past 28 years and also operated a plumbing business nine years at Walcott in conjunction with their Durant business. Mr. Luethye remained in business although he had been an invalid the past 18 years.

Survivors include his wife; five brothers, George, Los Angeles, Calif., Harry, Wilton Junction; Leonard, Rock Island, Ill.; Harold, Davenport and John, Monticello; and five sisters, Mrs. C. C. Lovewell, Walcott; Mrs. Kenneth Donegon, Durant; Mrs. Orville Witmer, Rock Island, Ill.; Mrs. Melvin Drichel, Davenport, and Janet Luethye, Wilton Junction.

His parents, one son and one sister preceded him in death.
