DIED 6th mo. 14, 1884, at his residence in West Liberty, Ia. of erysipelas, ELISHA HAWLEY, in the 84th year of his age.

The subject of this notice was born in Chester Co., Pa., 11th mo. 1798, moved with his parents to Columbiana Co., Ohio in 1801. In 1823 together with his brother Jesse, removed to Stark Co. In the spring of 1853 he settled in Cedar Co., Ia. and was subsequently removed to West Liberty where he died after about a week's illness. His remains were interred at Friends cemetery, Honey Grove, 6 mo. 15th.
