Eli Parry was born in Belmont county, Ohio, June 19, 1878, and came to Iowa with his parents when quite young.

He was united in marriage to Miss Mabelle Wertzbaugher Mar. 1, 1899. To this union were born two children, John L. and Pauline, who with their mother are left to mourn his loss.

He was accidently killed while in the employ of a telephone company near Hood River, Oregon.

Eli was an upright, industrious man beloved by all who had business relations with him. The remains were brought here for burial and were interred at the Friends cemetery at Hickory Grove, on Wednesday, Sept. 2. The funeral was largely attended by sorrowing relatives and sympathizing friends.
