The death of Harvey Christensen, son of Mrs. Hulda Christensen, of Springdale, occurred at the hospital at Iowa City, Monday night, after several weeks illness, from pneumonia.

Funeral services were conducted at the Friends church at Springdale at 2:00 o'clock yesterday afternoon.

Harvey Christensen was born in Cedar county, Iowa, July 1, 1912, and departed this life Monday, February 13, 1928, at the age of 15 years, 7 months and 12 days. Death occurred at the Mercy hospital in Iowa City after an illness of four weeks and one day due to pneumonia.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Huldah Christensen, two sisters Anna and Mable, and one brother, Clifford, all residing at Springdale, Iowa. The father was taken when Harvey was but a small lad of three years.

He lived his entire life in the Springdale community where he attended school, being a member of the Junior class of the High school at the time of his death. His was the life of a normal boy and young man reared in a Christian home. He was a dutiful son and enjoyed the respect of his associates and community.

Funeral services were held at the home at 1:30 o'clock and at the Friends church at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by H. A. Wright and Lars C. Hansen. Interment was made in the Springdale cemetery.
