Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Elliott were in Cedar Rapids, Friday, to attend the funeral of their sister-in-law, Mrs. J. A. Bye, whose death occurred at Marshalltown, Tuesday, after an illness of many years.

Mrs. Bye was the widow of J. Addison Bye, who died two years ago. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Raley of Springdale, pioneers of Cedar county. Mrs. Bye was well past seventy years old at the time of her death. She is survived by one son, H. H. Bye of Cedar Rapids.
