George Weimann, 81, lifelong resident of Tipton community, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of his son, Henry Weimann, with complications attendant with advanced age. He was born in Muscatine April 9, 1867, the son of George and Martha Lange Weimann. He married Mary A. Whisler December 3, 1894, in Muscatine. Mr. Weimann was a member of the Grace Reformed and Evangelical church at Wilton.

Surviving are, one son, Henry, of Tipton; one daughter, Mrs. Esther Fischer, Rt. 1, Muscatine; four grandchildren, Mrs. Wilfred Webb, Emerson Weimann, George and Ruth Fischer. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, four sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home in Muscatine with Rev. J. M. Newgard in charge. Casketbearers were Elwood Hain, Donald Daut, Oliver Ehresman, Camille Seys, George Lovell and Albert Straub. Flower attendants were Mrs. Hilda Anderson and Mrs. Alma Rode, nieces of the deceased. Singers were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lenker, Mr. Howard Lenker and Mrs. Susie Gill.
