Clifford Maris Gruwell, son of Arthur and Edna Gruwell, was born March 1, 1900, died March 3, 1901. Was sick with lung fever 3 weeks and 3 days. The little fellow had a long, hard struggle for his life, pulled through the fever but had not strength to rally from the consequent bowel trouble which followed. He always had a smile for every one. His was the very best of life. As a plant created for its flower he has been transplanted into the garden of God. Funeral was held at Friends church on Downey street, Tuesday, March 5, 1901. Rev. I. N. Rich led the services.
