Funeral services for Mrs. Ward F. Swift, 72, a native of Tipton, were held Jan.8 at the Immaculate Conception church in Cedar Rapids. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery at Lisbon.

Mrs. Swift died Jan. 5, after a sudden illness. She was born Dec. 17, 1893, at Tipton.

Surviving are her husband; 2 sons, Ward F., Cedar Rapids and James E., Los Angeles; 2 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Anna Woods, Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Jennie Zenishek, Mechanicsville and Mrs. Lizzie Sievers, Anamosa; and a brother, Frank Young, Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Swift was a member of Immaculate Conception church and St. Margaret's Circle of the church.
