DIED At Pasadena, Cal., Feb. 20th, 1879, of intermittent fever, P. W. Hollingsworth, aged about 30 years

Mr. Hollingsworth was a former resident of this county, and removed with his family to California about one year and a half ago. He leaves a wife and two children. Mrs. H. is a daughter of Mr. Silas Jepson, of this city.--Muscatine Journal

We chronicle the death of Mr. Hollingsworth with feelings of sadness. He spent his boyhood and early manhood in this vicinity, and it was here in our quiet village that he won his amiable, devoted wife. The bereaved wife has double cause for mourning, having lost a kind father and a loving husband at nearly the same time. We can assure her, in her afflictions, that she has the heartfelt sympathies of all her friends in this vicinity.
