Mr. James Vincent an old resident and highly esteemed citizen of Gower township, died at his home near Plato Monday night. The funeral was held yesterday.

The funeral service of James Vincent occurred at the home yesterday, conducted by Rev. Pemberton of West Branch. The remains were quietly laid away to their last resting place in the Howard family grave yard.

DIED At his home in Gower township Oct 1st 1894 Mr. James Vincent aged 64 years, 2 months and 24 days. Mr. Vincent was born July 7th 1830 in Madison county Ky, he moved to Missouri, Monroe Co. in 1848 went to California and returned in 1851 was married to Miss Sarah A. Heathman in 1851 by whom he had ten children, came to Cedar county in 1864 where he has since resided. He leaves a wife and eight children five sons and three daughters who mourn the loss of a kind husband and good father. He was a good neighbor honored and respected by all who knew him. The funeral services were held at the home Oct. 3rd by the Rev. Mr. Pemberton of West Branch.
