DIED--Wednesday, Aug. 25, of spinal meningitis, John Douglas, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Douglas, aged 8 years, 8 mo. 21 days.

Little John was sick only about 24 hours and although all was done that medical skill and tender care could do to save him, it was of no avail. He was a manly little fellow and exceptionally bright for one of his years. Being the only boy of the family, his parents and sisters idolized him and this made it much harder to give him up. The remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery Thursday at 4 p.m., Rev. Father O'Reilly performing the funeral rites.
