30 March 1922 - West Branch Times

The death of Mrs. W. P. Heacock occurred Tuesday morning at the home on North Downey street. While Mrs. Heacock had been in poor health for some time, her condition had been serious for only a few days prior to her passing. Although of a quiet, retiring disposition, she had many sincere friends, whose heartfelt sympathy goes out to the bereft family.

Funeral services are being held today from the home, conducted by Rev. Wilson.

6 April 1922 - West Branch Times

Ida M. Rouse was born near New Castle, Pennsylvania, Feb. 23, 1864. Her parents died when she was but a child, and thereafter she made her home with Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Mitchell, coming with them to West Branch in 1891. In 1892 she was united in marriage to Mr. W. P. Heacock of West Branch, Iowa, where they have since lived.

Mrs. Heacock was a member of the Presbyterian church of West Branch where she delighted to worship and to work. She has been a faithful wife, a true companion in the home, although in failing health for a number of years. It was only recently that she became seriously ill with influenza. Death came very suddenly on Wednesday morning, March 28, 1922, calling Mrs. Heacock at the age of 58 years, 1 month and 5 days. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, W. P. Heacock, one son, Roy E., and three grandchildren of Fairbury, Neb., besides a large circle of friends and acquaintances.

Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Walter Wilson. Interment was made in the beautiful cemetery on the hill.
