11 November 1943 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral rites were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the McCormick Funeral home for Mrs. Nora E. Rohrbaugh, who passed away Nov. 8 after a brief illness. The Rev. R. Sires officiated.

Mrs. Nora Elizabeth Rohrbaugh was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Eiselstein She was born Nov. 19, 1898, in Meigs county, Ohio. She came to Iowa with her parents Feb. 22, 1902, and settled in Cedar county near Tipton. She was united in marriage to Leander Rohrbaugh Feb. 3, 1920. He preceded her in death Dec. 2, 1939.

Mrs. Rohrbaugh was a member of the Helping Hand Rebekah Lodge, 517, and was representative of the organization at the state assembly which met in Des Moines Oct. 18-21, 1943. She was also a member of the Legion Auxiliary.

Those remaining to mourn her death are her mother, Mrs. Clara Eiselstein; four sisters, Mrs. William Wade of Tipton, Mrs. Roscoe Gerber of Tipton, Mrs. Walter Martin of West Branch, Mrs. Milo Ahrens of Tipton; three brothers, Frank Eiselstein of Muscatine, Earl Eiselstein of Lowden and Richard Eiselstein of Tipton. There are also seven nephews and seven nieces and one great niece. Two of the nephews are serving overseas; one in North Africa and the other in the South Pacific.
