DIED At his home near Centerdale, on the 9th inst. CHARLES P WEBSTER, in the 77th year of his age.

Deceased was born in Belmont county, Ohio, and moved with his parents to Gurney county where he grew to manhood and married Sarah C. Crozier. In April 1865 he removed to Iowa and located at the place where he spent the remainder of his days and from which his spirit took flight. His wife still survives him, also seven children, five of whom were with him during his last moments to minister to his needs as best they could.

For three years he has been a great sufferer, and for the last eight weeks his sufferings were extreme, which he bore with great patience, often being engaged in prayer. He often expressed his readiness to depart.

He has been a lifelong member of the society of Friends, orthodox branch. The funeral services, held at the family residence on Sabbath the 11th at 1 p.m. were largely attended by neighbors and friends. The interment was at West Branch.
