24 March 1892 - West Branch Times

On Monday, the 7th of March, Franklin Bennett departed this life after a lingering illness. He was not long confined to his bed owing to his determination to exercise, and thus keep up as long as possible. He bore his suffering quietly, patiently awaiting the end. He was a man highly esteemed by those who were intimately acquainted with him. The deceased was a member of the Knights of Pythias, and the members of his lodge attended the funeral, performing their usual ceremonies at the grave. A few days before his death he expressed to me the fact that he was trusting in Jesus as his Savior. The deceased was born in Brunswick, Maine, May 10th, 1857. We tender our most heartfelt sympathy to the brothers and sister and friends of the deceased, especially to the mother with whom he had always lived, and who is left now so lonely.
