Mrs. Fred H. Vore of 51 North Wilson avenue, Pasadena, passed away at the Methodist Hospital in Los Angeles Friday afternoon, Aug. 24th.

Mrs. Vore had lived in Pasadena for twenty-one years and had a wide circle of friends in this city.

She died at the age of 42 years, after an illness of about two months, from which complications developed which ended in her demise. Mrs. Vore is survived by her husband, Fred H. Vore, of the City Inspector's office; her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Barnes; Dwight Barnes, a brother, and her sister, Mrs. Levi Gidding.

Funeral serivces were held from the Lake Avenue M. E. church Monday, August 27, at 2:30 p.m.--Pasadena Star-News

Anna Barnes passed her girlhood in West Branch. She was one of the first telephone operators here, and her sunny disposition endeared her to many friends in a business as well as social sphere.

Bridged by the ties of many families and many friends, Pasadena, Calif., and West Branch, Iowa, are "next door neighbors". It is hard to realize that twenty-one years have passed since Anna Barnes left West Branch for Pasadena. Her place in the hearts of her friends here is the same as ever, and the old home folks sympathy is with the surviving family.
