After several months losing battle with tuberculosis, Floyd Bundy Larson, 25, passed away at Oakdale Sanitarium Thursday night. He was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Larson, who, with his three brothers, William, Chester and Alton, survive him.

Practically all of Floyd's life was spent in this community, where he attended school and was graduated in 1925. His illness and early death came as a shock to those who knew him.

Funeral services were conducted at the family home three miles southeast of town Sunday afternoon, a very large crowd of sympathizing friends being present. Burial was made in the cemetery at West Branch.

Floyd Bundy Larson, oldest son of Linden C. and Bertha Larson, was born June 25, 1906 near West Branch on the farm which has been the home of his grandfather for nearly half a century.

In 1910 his parents moved to Minnesota where five years of his childhood were spent.

After their return to this community he attended the West Branch schools where he graduated with the class of 1925.

Later he spent some time in the West, the greater part of which, he worked with his uncle Marcus Neilsen at Douglas, Wyo.

Although he was of a quiet, retiring nature he endeared himself to all who came in close contact with him.

Even though he had not been in rugged health the past year, it was only within the last few months that the seriousness of his condition was realized. He was taken at once to the Sanitarium where he received the tuberculin treatment.

During this time the strength of his character was plainly demonstrated through his patient suffering and his constant thought of others.

Being of cheerful and uncomplaining nature he bore his confinement in a way which impressed everyone.

Through the long months of quiet he made preparation for what must have seemed to him the inevitable end of his illness, often expressing his willingness to go.

Like a tired child going to rest; with the simple words "I'm going now," he quietly slipped away at 9:45 o'clock Thursday evening, Dec. 10, 1931.

His parents and three brothers, William, Chester and Alton survive.

Funeral services at the home Sunday afternoon were conducted with the simple dignity of the Friends custom, and burial was made in the cemetery at West Branch.
