DIED DR. JAMES STAPLES, who has been a sufferer from heart trouble and dropsy for many months, suddenly but not unexpectedly departed this life Saturday evening about 10 o'clock, at the home of his brother, A. C. Staples of this place.

Deceased was one of the early practitioners of this vicinity who had achieved success in his profession. His genial good nature made him a friend to all whom he met.
