Mrs. Andrew Moffit passed away at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke's hospital in Davenport, where she had been taken a few hours before for surgical attention, following a fall on the stairs at her farm home northwest of Tipton. Her death was attributed to head injury. The host of friends in Tipton and vicinity were greatly shocked at the news of her sudden passing. Mrs. Moffit had resided in Tipton a number of years, and since her marriage in 1917 had made her home on the Moffit farm northwest of the city.

She was born at Greene, Ia., June 14, 1881, and came with her parents to Tipton, where her father was in the employ of the Rock Island Ry. Co.

Surviving are the widower, one son, Francis, and two sisters, Mabel Russell, a twin of the decedent, and Mary Russell, both of Ames, Ia.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Tipton Presbyterian church, Rev. H. N. Poston officiating.
