Swayne E. Moore passed away January first, 1930, as the result of an accident that had occurred five hours previous. He was run down while fixing a tire on his car by the side of the pavement.

Swayne was born north of West Branch, Iowa, on August 1, 1903, and grew to manhood in this vicinity. He graduated from the West Branch High school in the class of 1921 and from the College of Engineering at the State University in 1925. Since that time he has lived in Chicago where he was employed with the Bell Telephone company.

He was united in marriage with Miss Lois Grover in August, 1926. Besides his wife and many friends he leaves his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Paul P. Moore, one sister, Miss Pauline Moore a senior in the Medical School of the State University; two brothers, Tom and Paul Keith, at home.
