Funeral services for Mrs. Glenn (Luetta) McCrea, 80, a native of Bennett, were held at Olin Sept. 7 with the Rev. Edward Petersen officiating. Burial was in the Olin cemetery. Pallbearers were Dale, Dave and Don McCrea, Rich Glenn, Steve Barber and Bob Goldsmith.

Mrs. McCrea died at the Anamosa Community hospital Sept. 4.

The daughter of Elmer and Lizzie Platte Marks, she was born at Bennett April 9, 1904. She attended rural schools near Bennett until the death of her mother at which time she was needed to help raise the family of 6 children.

She was married to Glenn McCrea at Rock Island, Ill. June 18, 1925. The couple lived for a short time in Olin, then spent most of their married lives in Cedar county, retiring to Olin 10 years ago.

Mrs. McCrea worked as a restaurant cook, in a nursing home and was a US mail truck driver in addition to raising a family of 3.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Darrel, Olin; a daguhter, Mrs. Robert (Donna) Glenn, Olin; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, 3 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
