Leonard Arthur Horst, 33, Durant, died March 19 at Mercy hospital in Davenport following an illness of one week.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Horst, Muscatine, he was born March 2, 1933 near Bennett. He received his education in rural school and Muscatine high school.

He married Carole L. Wolf on March 18, 1956 at Pleasant Prairie, and farmed near Durant for the past 2 years.

Survivors include his parents; his wife; 3 children, Arthur, Lynne and Rebecca, all at home; and two brothers, Roger and Andrew, both of Muscatine.

Funeral services were March 23 in Davenport. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park cemetery.
