Funeral services for Wilbert Fred Helmold, 75, Tipton, will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stanwood. Burial will be in Inland Cemetery, Bennett. Visitation will be held until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Sheets & Son and from 9 a.m. to funeral time today, at the church. The Rev. Daniel Ognoskie will conduct the service and Mrs. Susan Schmidt will be the organist.

Pallbearers are his grandsons, Carl Warren Jr., Michael and Daniel Beer, David, Gary and Jeff Helmold and Douglas Wright. Mrs. Eunice Holets, Mrs. Lori Boots and Mrs. Patricia Helmold are in charge of flowers.

Mr. Helmold died in Tipton June 25. He was born in Clarence Jan. 5, 1905 to Louis and Caroline Brockmeyer. He was educated in the Lowden parochial and public schools.

Mr. Helmold married Ella M. Kleppe in Davenport December 22, 1926. He was a retired farmer and a life resident of Cedar county. He had lived in Tipton for 24 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stanwood.

He is survived by his wife; 4 daughters, Mrs. Carl (Alberta) Warren, Mechanicsville; Mrs. Paul (Janice) Wright, Tipton; Mrs. Marvin (Jean) Beer, Cedar Rapids and Miss Marilyn Helmold, Tipton; one son, Maynard, Tipton; 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Walter, Lowden and Leo, Tipton. Mr. Helmold was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and a grandson.
