Jon "Ray" Raymond Kohl, 101, of rural Lisbon died Tuesday at Hallmark Care Center in Mount Vernon following a brief illness.
He was born Oct. 16, 1882, in rural Lisbon. He was a lifelong resident there and farmed all his life. He married Marie Ruble Jan. 26, 1916, at Tipton. She died in 1966. He was a member of the Coon Creek Church of rural Lisbon.
He is survived by one son, John H., and one daughter, Elizabeth Lehr, both of Lisbon; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Home in Lisbon by the Rev. Kenneth Glover. Burial: Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lisbon-Mount Vernon Ambulance Fund, 206 First St. W, Mount Vernon 52314
