Funeral services for Sophia Lutz, 80, Stanwood, were held June 7 at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Stanwood, with the Rev. Maurice Lind officiating. Mrs. Gene Grimm was organist and Mrs. Carl Kohrt was the vocalist. Pallbearers were Robert and Kenneth Koch, Paul Portewig, Glen Zerbe, Arthur Kintzel and William Rhoads. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery.

Mrs. Lutz died June 4 at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids.

She was born April 6, 1903 in Sac county to the Louis Bugges. She married Wilbur Lutz in November, 1924 in Davenport and she lived in Stanwood for 25 years. She was a housewife.

She is survived by her husband and a sister, Leola Wellman, Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents.
