2 June 1905 - The Clarence Sun

The remains of Miss Nettie Boling were laid to rest in the Clarence cemetery last Sunday afternoon and were followed from the Stanwood M. E. church, where the funeral was held, by a large number of the young lady's friends.

Nettie Anabel Boling, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John N. Boling, was born near Stanwood in this county on Nov. 17, 1884, and died Friday, June 23, 1905, aged 20 years, 7 months and 6 days.

She was very ambitious to secure a liberal education and after graduating from the Stanwood high school in June, 1901, attended school several terms at Mount Vernon, where the first signs of failing health became apparent and was finally compelled to abandon her school work entirely.

She is survived by her parents, three brothers, A. J. and J. F. of Stanwood, and C. O. of Tipton, and one sister, Mrs. E. H. Anthony of Stanwood, all of whom were with her at the time of her death.

The young lady returned only last week Monday from Colorado, where she was taken some months ago on account of her health.
