Funeral services for Mrs. Edith M. Glick, 89, Solon, were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home Feb. 9 with the Rev. Jerrold Swinton officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Pallbearers were Maurice Walton, John Hipple, Max Phelps, Milo Agne, Kenneth McClellan and Raymond Eilers.

Mrs. Glick died at the home of her son, Oscar, Feb. 6 following a brief illness.

The daughter of Henry and Eliza Wirth Soll, she was born near Wilton April 27, 1890 and was educated in the rural schools of the area. She was married to Roy Glick at Cedar Rapids Aug. 8, 1907. She spent her life in the Wilton-Tipton-Solon area.

She and her husband farmed until 1917 when they established their business of Glick the Florist in Tipton. They ran this until their retirement in 1946.

She was a 50 years member of Purity chapter, Eastern Star, Wilton and a 69 year member of the Tipton Rebekah lodge. She was a member of the Methodist church.

She is survived by a son, Oscar, Solon; a granddaughter, Mrs. John (Sandra) Dill, Omaha, Neb.; a grandson, Larry, Solon; and 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Fred Soll, Amarillo, Texas and Walter Soll, Waterloo. She was preceded in death by her husband and 5 sisters.
