One of Cedar county's oldest residents, Isabelle McKee Long Dwinell, died Sunday night, March 13, at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 9 days.

Isabelle McKee Long, daughter of John and Calista Culver Long, was born at Tipton, Iowa, January 4, 1855. She grew to womanhood in Tipton and on January 9, 1879, was married to David E. Dwinell of Red Oak Grove, and they located on a farm between Tipton and Stanwood. They lived on this farm four years, from 1879 to 1883, then moved to Stanwood where she has since resided.

Mrs. Dwinell spent almost her entire life in Cedar county. She was never out of the state until in her 77th year. Her 77th and 79th birthdays were spent in Coral Gables, Florida, where she was a guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Chasis, a niece and nephew.

Surviving her is one brother, Charley Long, of Nebraska, and one sister, Mrs. Ella Kintz, of Stanwood, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Dwinell preceeded her in death December 27, 1927.

Funeral services were conducted from the home Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Supplee, pastor of the Methodist church officiating. Burial was made in the Stanwood cemetery.
