Mrs. Fred Dauber suffered a stroke at about 10 o'clock Wednesday morning which resulted in her death at 12:25 o'clock Thursday morning.

Mrs. Dauber was stricken while seated in a pew in the rear of the Presbyterian church as she was attending the funeral of Mr. J. H. Onstott, shortly before the service began. She was rushed to her home immediately and given the very best of care by her physician, her relatives and friends. She suffered considerable during the day and evening, passing away shortly after mid-night. Relatives and friends gathered at her bedside during the day and were with her at the time of her passing.

The funeral will be held from the Presbyterian church at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial will be made in Rose Hill cemetery by the side of her husband, who preceded her in death three years ago.

Margaret Becker Dauber was born in Ohio State, the daughter of Carl and Mary Becker, and she was 56 years of age at the time of her death. She resided in Ohio with her parents for a time, later moving to West Virginia, where she was united in marriage to Fred Dauber, the couple moving to Iowa some years after their marriage.

Mrs. Dauber is survived by two sons, Charles of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Ed of Mechanicsville, one daughter, Mary, at home, a sister, Mrs. Ed Harmon of Mechanicsville, five brothers, Jake Becker, of Davenport, who came here Wednesday, Dan Becker of Minnesota, Albert of West Virginia, and John and Ed Becker of Mechanicville, and twenty-seven nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Maggie Dauber suffered a stroke of paralysis Wednesday at the Presbyterian church here just before the J. H. Onstott funeral services and died at 12:20 A.M.

She was born September 8, 1874, near Whipple, Washington county, Ohio, a daughter of Carl and Mary Becker, and one of a family of nine children. On November 2, 1892, she was married to Fred Dauber at Red House, W. Va. They moved to Iowa in 1900 locating near Tipton later, near Mechanicsville and finally moved to Mechanicsville in December, 1917. She was preceded in death by her husband who died September 17, 1927.

She is survived by three children, Charles W. of Cedar Rapids; Edward D. Mechanicsville and Mary Evelyn at home. One sister, Mrs. E. F. Harmon of Mechanicsville and five brothers Jacob Becker of Davenport; Daniel Becker, of Deer Creek, Minnesota; Albert Becker of Red House, W. Va; and John and Edward Becker of Mechanicsville, Iowa, and three grand children: Kenneth Edward; Velma Jean and Frederick Dauber.

She was a loving mother and had many friends and enjoyed the respect and esteem of those who knew her.

She was baptized in the Lutheran church, November 2, 1874.

Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church, November 2nd, at 2 o'clock P.M. The church was filled with a large audience of sympathetic neighbors and friends who join in grief with the bereaved family and relatives. The services were conducted by Rev. James Ballz of Mt. Vernon and interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
