Mrs. Caroline Abele, 55, wife of the Rev. Fred Abele, pastor of Zion Evangelical and Reformed church, died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday in her home here of heart ailment.

She was born Caroline Damme, May 23rd, 1888, in Kansas, and was married to the Rev. Mr. Abele on Oct. 11, 1911. The couple lived in Cook, Neb., until coming to Lowden in 1932. She is survived by her husband, three daughters Clara and Leta, of Chicago, and Edith at home; also one son, Melvin, of Chicago.

Private funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the home, and at 2:00 p.m. the Rev. A. Mather of Marshalltown will conduct services in Zion Evangelical and Reformed church. Burial will be in the Lowden cemetery.
