Wayne Rowser, third son of Bernard and Fanny Rowser, was born in Boone County, Iowa, September 29th, 1855, and died at the home of his sister Nanny in Red Oak Grove early Sunday morning, May 2nd, 1943, at the age of 87 year, 7 months and 3 days.

He came to the Red Oak Grove vicinity with his parents when he was a child, and has been a resident of that vicinity ever since.

Mr. Rowser and Jean Findlay of Tipton were married about 1897. After the death of his wife he made his home with his sister.

In early manhood he became a member of the Methodist church and continued in that fellowship. It was with assurance of life eternal that he looked forward to the future life.

The eldest sister passed away in February of 1942. A brother, Irving, died at the age of 80 at Salt lake City, Utah, a year ago. A sister died at the ripe old age of 83 in Pennsylvania last month. Those surviving are: Milton of Stanwood, Charles, who lives in Colorado, and Dr. E. E. Rowser of Clarence. Also Mrs. Oscar Speer of Buckingham.

Funeral services were conducted at the Red Oak Grove Presbyterian church Tuesday morning at 10:30. Burial was in the Red Oak Grove cemetery. Rev. A. B. Chamberlin was in charge of the services, assisted by Rev. Louis Penningroth.
