Elizabeth Jane Davidson, eldest daughter of John and Fannie Woods, was born in New York City, N.Y., October 4, 1867, and passed away at the home of her sister, Miss Lucy Woods, in Clarence, Iowa, February 15, 1944.

When she was six months of age she came with her parents to Stanwood, Iowa. She was married to Lewis W. Davidson on February 6, 1895, and established their home near Stanwood, where they resided their entire married life.

To this union was born two sons and two daughters. One son preceded her in death on his twentieth birthday, November 5, 1918. The survivors are: Ralph B. of Davenport, Mildred Childers of Sacramento, Calif., and Margaret Perry of Rochester, Minn., and two grandchildren. One sister, Miss Lucy, and one brother, Tom, both of Clarence.

Funeral services were at the Beck funeral home at 2 o'clock the afternoon of February 18, and was conducted by Rev. A. B. Chamberlin of Clarence and Rev. J. C. Stewart of Stanwood. The pall bearers were John, Archie and Ed Davidson, Max Coppess, Robert Kelly and Joe Baker. Burial was at the Stanwood cemetery.
