Funeral service was held Saturday, June 25th, for Charles R. Graft, a pioneer resident of Cedar county, and interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery at Mechanicsville.

Rev. Eugene L. Miller conducted the service at the Methodist church at 2:00 p.m.

Charles Ross Graft was born at Stanwood, Iowa, Apr. 28, 1878, and passed away Thursday morning, the 23rd of June at University hospital in Iowa City. He had been taken to the hospital Monday of just last week and died after a brief illness.

Three sisters, a brother and five children survive, with the widow Ella May.
