Miss Emma Debner, the second youngest daughter of the late Dick Debner and his wife Louise, nee Huelse, was born on November 6, 1872, on a farm five miles south of Lowden. She was baptized in infancy and confirmed in 1885 at Lowden by the Rev. Schwartz. She resided with her parents and assisted in their care during their elderly confinement until their death. Her father passed away in 1899 and her mother in 1910. From that time on she kept house for her brother Dick. They established a home in Bennett in 1921 and resided together until his death in 1930. Since that time she has lived alone. In spite of advancing years, she was always able to do her own work and was in fairly good health. Death came very unexpectedly on Friday evening, March 2nd.

Besides her parents and her brother mentioned above, she was preceded in death by six sisters, Mrs. Minnie Rix, Mrs. Louise Folke, Miss Lena Debner, Mrs. Sophia Michael, Mrs. Augusta Richman and Mrs. Mary Dircks. Surviving her departure are nieces and nephews, and one cousin, Mrs. Ernsting, of Lowden.

Funeral services were held from the McCormick funeral home in Tipton on Monday, March 5th, with interment in the Clarence cemetery. Rev. F. J. Mittler, of Clarence, was in charge of the service.

Flower girls were Misses Verna Lee Dircks and Eileen Dircks. Casket bearers: Mr. Butler, Richard Dircks, Henry Dircks, Mr. Michael, Harold Ruther and Dewey Dircks.

Memorial gifts amounting to $15 were given by the Dircks, Butler and Michael families.
