Nathoniel Austin Silsby, 60, died at his home, 2201 East Tenth street, Sedalia, Mo., at 6:45 o'clock Monday evening, Jan. 7, following an illness of several months. A freight truckman at the Missouri Pacific shops, he had been on sick leave.

Mr. Silsby is survived by the widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Lamm Silsby, to whom he was married in Sedalia on October 12, 1907, four daughters and three sons. They are Mrs. B. H. Armistead, Memphis, Tenn.; Mrs. Henry Bultemeier, Independence, Mo.; Mrs. Sam Long, rural route 1, Sedalia and Mrs. E. G. Shephard, Jr., Kansas City; John Silsby, Beaman; Robert Silsby, Marshal and Cpl. Maurice Silsby, of the U. S. 82nd airborne division. He also leaves five sisters and one brother.

Born in Clarence, on November 8, 1885, he removed with his parents to Missouri in 1906, residing on a farm east of Sedalia.

He was a member of the Smithton Methodist church.

The funeral was held on Jan. 12th, followed by burial at Smithton.
