Horace B. McLeod, who was born in Clarence, and grew to young manhood here, died at his home at Garden Grove, Calif., on Jan. 8th, at 9:30 o'clock.

He attended the public school and was a graduate with the class of 1889. Later he attended the Iowa university and graduated in medicine, and practiced that profession for two years.

Joining his father in farming and stock raising for a while he then purchased a stock farm in Stanton county, Neb. In 1910 he went to Garden Grove, Orange county, Calif., and purchased the ranch where he passed away.

His wife Elizabeth Huffmaster McLeod survives him.

Funeral services were held at the Howard Mortuary and were conducted by Rev. Geo. Jenkins. Private entombment followed in the family vault at Stanton, Neb., where his two brothers and parents are at rest.
