Annie Lucinda, daughter of Robert and Martha Jane Hegarty, was born on a farm in Fairfield Township, on June 26, 1866. Here she grew to womanhood accustomed to the hardships of pioneer life.

On March 4, 1885, she was united in marriage to James Milton Fisher.

In 1886 they moved to their farm south of Lowden which remained her home until death.

In the past month her health failed slightly, although her condition was not considered as serious.

She passed away suddenly from this life on Thursday evening at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 8 days,.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died on Feb. 15, 1930; one son, Harry, who died in infancy; and another son, Forest, who died in service in World War I.

Those remaining to mourn her decease, are two sons, Homer and James, and one daughter, Mrs. Esther Drake, all of Lowden; a twin sister, Miss Addie Hegarty of Tipton; three other sisters, Mrs. Belle Schulze of Burke, S.D., Miss Jessie Hegarty of Tipton, and Mrs. Myrtle Bixler, of Clarence; two brothers, Grant of Stanwood and George of Tipton. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Mrs. Fisher was highly respected and esteemed by the many friends who had enjoyed her acquaintance during her life in the community.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Jan. 6, at the farm home at 1:30 o'clock, conducted by the Elder U. J. Fike. Music was by Mr. and Mrs. Fike.

The pallbearers were: Clyde Fisher, Clarence Fisher, Christ Boedeker, Hugo Lenschow, Raymond Kohlhoff, Dick Mensing.
