Mrs. Louie Meyer, nee Louise Hasselbusch, only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hasselbusch, was born on a farm, east of Clarence, on April 24, 1887. She was baptized in infancy and in 1901 became a member of St. John's church thru the rite of confirmation.

On December 14, 1911, she was united in holy matrimony to Louie Meyer, and this union was blessed with two sons. Mr. Meyer departed this life on January 26, 1936.

Death came very suddenly on the morning of August 16th while she was visiting her son Norman at Cherokee. She had attained the age of 60 years, 3 months and 22 days.

She leaves to mourn her departure: her two sons, Laverne of Clarence, Norman of Cherokee, four grandchildren; three brothers, Paul, Ernest and Martin, all of Clarence; also other more distant relatives. One brother, Wilfred, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held from the Meyer residence and St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church on Tuesday, Aug. 19, with interment in St. John's Church cemetery.

In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Paul Hartwig, Mrs. Wm. Andreson and Mrs. Henry Hasenbank.

Pallbearers: Henry Hasenbank, John Hasenbank, John Piersal, Wm. Andreson, Paul Hartwig and Charles Doermann.
