Funeral services for Jessie Wood were held on Saturday, November 8th, 1952, in the Sheets Funeral home in Tipton by the Rev. Raymon Ferguson with interment rites in the Clarence cemetery.

Jessie Elizabeth, second daughter of Alonzo and Rebecca Ann Rose Seaman, was born on a farm near Clarence, January 12, 1870. After attending the Clarence high school she attended a business college in Davenport, Iowa.

On September 19, 1900, Miss Seaman was united in marriage to John H. Wood of Clarence. To this union one daughter Grace was born. While a young woman she united with the Presbyterian church at Clarence.

Since 1935 Mrs. Wood and her daughter Grace have made their home in Tipton. The past four and one half years she has been bedfast and cared for by her daughter Grace. She passed away November 5, 1952 having attained the age of 82 years, 10 months and 23 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother George, and one sister Emily Kinney. She is survived by her daughter Grace of Tipton and one sister Rosa, Mrs. Mort H. Coppess of Stanwood, several nephews and a host of friends.
