Frank E. Claney was born September 23, 1860 at Millersburg, Ohio, and passed away in Pasadena, California, on May 12, 1952, at the age of 91 years, 7 months and 19 days.

He moved with his family to Clarence, Iowa, when about 8 years of age, and there grew to manhood, and here he married Anna Adell Garrison.

At the age of 27 he moved to Nebraska, residing on a farm north of Enders. He returned to Iowa for a number of years, then went back to Nebraska in 1917, making his home in Imperial, Neb. For the past 22 years he has resided in Pasadena, California.

He was active in the construction of the present Methodist Church building in Imperial, and his interest in things of the church did not grow less, and upon moving to California he became an active member of the Lake Avenue Congregational Church of which he was a member at the time of his death.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Anna Adell, two daughters, Margie M. and Hallie L., and one son, Wayne R. Surviving him are a daughter Marion M. of Pasadena, and a son William L. of Imperial, ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Services were held at the Luhrs & Reynolds Mortuary in Imperial on May 16, 1952, with Rev. John Mikkelsen, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment was made in Mt. Hope cemetery at Imperial, Neb.
