Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. for Ward Claney, 65, who died Monday noon at his home in Homestead, Florida. Word was received here Monday of the death and the remains will be sent here to the Chapman Funeral home where the services will be held.

Mr. Claney is the brother of Nelson Claney, of Clarence, and a former resident of the Stanwood community. He was born January 24, 1888, in Dayton Township.

Besides his brother Nelson, he is survived by his wife, Carrie, one sister, Mrs. Marjorie Spohn, San Francisco, Calif., a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Benson, Stephens, Minn., a son Kenneth Claney, Wichita, Kans. and six grandchildren.
