The following of interest locally was received this week by Clarence friends:

Services for Mrs. Josephine Perkins, 63, were held last Saturday at the Highland Park funeral home in Des Moines with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens cemetery.

Mrs. Perkins a Des Moines resident, 44 years, died of a heart ailment Thursday night at a Des Moines hospital. She had been ill about three months.

Mrs. Perkins was born at St. Paul, Minn. and moved to Marshalltown at the age of 7 where she lived several years before going to Des Moines. She was employed in the picture framing and gift department of Younkers for 18 years before becoming ill. She was a member of the Methodist church and of the Eastern Star chapter.

Surviving are a son, Theodore B. of Des Moines, four sisters and a grandson.

The Perkins made their home here in Clarence several years while her husband was in the garage business before moving to Des Moines.
