Josie P. Ferguson, daughter of the late attorney J. P. Ferguson and Persis Ferguson, was born at Clarence, Iowa, March 26, 1871, and passed away at the home of her son, Arlington, Lantz, on the farm southeast of Armour, S. Dak. on March 18, 1953, at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 22 days.

She was married to Frank D. Lantz on October 16, 1895. Mr. Lantz died in 1910. She married Harry J. Messinger February 27, 1912. Mr. Messinger died March 23, 1935, at the age of 71. Four sisters also preceded her in death.

She is survived by an only son, Arlington Lantz, of Armour, South Dakota and a brother, J. P. Ferguson of Pasadena, Calif.

Funeral services were held on Friday, March 20th, at the Clements Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J. Hilbrands officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Ridge cemetery at Armour.
