This obituary was prepared by Mrs. McLeod for herself sometime previous to her death. Only necessary additions have been made by the writer.

Ida May Fell, daughter of Francis and Mary Fell was born May 16, 1876 and passed away April 6, 1958 at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 20 days.

She was a graduate of Clarence High School, Iowa State Teachers College, Chicago Training School and did part graduate work at Chicago University and also Lawrence College at Bay View, Michigan.

She taught three years in Clarence High School and four years at Old Montana Wesleyan at Helena, Montana. Two of these years she was Dean of Women. She left the last position in 1915 to be married to S. L. McLeod on June 1, 1915 of Clarence. He passed away in 1939. Having been here those years of her married life she continued to make her home in Clarence, although spending much of her time away.

She was a member of the Methodist Church and while able, took an active part in the services, especially the Sunday School where she usually had a class of Young People.

She and her sister Frances Kay, who passed away in Florida in February of 1957, were very close companions all through the years, and the parting was felt very keenly by Mrs. McLeod.

She leaves to mourn her death seven nieces and nephews and their families and a step-daughter, Mrs. H. C. Cosgriff and her family of Cedar Falls.

Funeral services were held at the Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 8th, 1958, with the services being conducted by Rev. Cyril Ashton. Organist was Mrs. Robert Joslin.

Burial was in the Fell family plot in the Clarence cemetery.
